Welcome to Read, Reflect, Grow (“App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

By accessing or using Read, Reflect, Grow, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

Your name, if provided
Your email address
A unique account or user identifier
Authentication information provided through email, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple
Account preferences

We do not store your Google or Apple account password.

Bible-Study and App-Activity Data

When you use the App, we may store information such as:

Saved Bible passages
Saved Bible-study explanations
Reading-plan progress
Reading streaks
Highlighted verses
Favorites and bookmarks
Saved lessons or studies
AI-feature usage and free-tier usage counters

This information helps provide App functionality, enforce usage limits, and synchronize your progress across supported devices.

Prayer Journal and Other User Content

If you use the Prayer Journal or other note-taking features, we may store:

Journal entries
Prayer requests
Reflection notes
Saved prayers
Questions submitted through AI-assisted features

Your journal entries are private and are not displayed publicly to other users.

Please avoid including highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, or identifying information in journal entries or AI prompts.

AI-Assisted Features

When you request:

Scripture explanations
Follow-up Bible-study answers
Reflection questions
Practical applications
Scripture-based prayers

the selected Bible passage, question, or request may be securely transmitted to an artificial-intelligence service provider through our service infrastructure so that a response can be generated.

AI-generated responses are intended for educational and devotional purposes and may occasionally contain errors or incomplete information.

Notifications and Device Identifiers

If you enable notifications, we may collect or generate:

A Firebase Installation ID
An Expo or Firebase Cloud Messaging push-notification token
Notification preferences
Your preferred reminder time
A first-party device identifier used to manage guest usage limits

These identifiers are used to deliver notifications, associate notification settings with a device, and enforce free-tier limits.

You may disable notifications through the App or your device settings.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a premium subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, we may receive and store information necessary to manage your subscription, including:

Subscription plan
Subscription status
Purchase or renewal status
Expiration date
Whether the subscription is expected to renew
A subscription-management user identifier

RevenueCat may help us verify and manage subscription entitlements.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card number, bank-account information, or other payment credentials. Payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.

Technical Information

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the App, such as:

App version
Device platform or operating system
Request timestamps
Authentication and security records
Server logs
Information necessary to diagnose individual service errors

We do not currently use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics. If analytics or crash-reporting services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store disclosures will be updated.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use information to:

Create and manage user accounts
Authenticate users
Provide Bible-reading and Bible-study features
Generate AI-assisted Scripture explanations
Save journal entries, bookmarks, and study progress
Synchronize information across supported devices
Deliver optional reminders and notifications
Verify subscriptions and unlock premium features
Enforce free and premium usage limits
Personalize greetings and basic account features
Respond to support requests
Maintain the security and reliability of the App
Detect misuse, fraud, or unauthorized activity
Comply with legal obligations

3. Artificial-Intelligence Processing

Read, Reflect, Grow uses artificial intelligence to assist with Bible-study explanations, contextual information, reflection questions, practical applications, and Scripture-based prayers.

When you use an AI-assisted feature, the relevant Bible passage and your request may be securely processed by an AI provider through our service infrastructure.

AI-generated content should not be considered infallible interpretation, divine revelation, personal prophecy, professional counseling, medical advice, or a substitute for Scripture.

Users are encouraged to:

Read Scripture directly
Compare explanations with Scripture
Consider the full context of each passage
Seek guidance from trusted pastors or Bible teachers when appropriate

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose limited information to trusted service providers that help us operate the App, including:

Authentication providers
Google and Apple sign-in services
Cloud-hosting and database providers
Artificial-intelligence service providers
Firebase Cloud Messaging
RevenueCat
Apple App Store
Google Play
Bible-content providers
Customer-support and security providers

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf or under their own applicable terms.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

Comply with applicable laws or legal processes
Protect users, the public, or our legal rights
Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
Enforce our Terms of Service
Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the App, subject to appropriate privacy protections

5. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.

Data transmitted between the App and our services is protected using encrypted HTTPS connections.

However, no electronic-storage or internet-transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Provide and operate the App
Maintain your account
Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
Meet legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention obligations
Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or de-identify it.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be able to:

Review or update your account information
Delete saved studies, journal entries, or other content
Disable notifications
Cancel a subscription through Apple or Google
Request access to certain personal information
Request correction or deletion of personal information
Delete your account

Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your App account. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.

8. Account Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your account from within the App or by following the instructions at:

Account deletion may remove:

Profile information
Saved Bible studies
Prayer-journal entries
Reading-plan progress
Preferences
Bookmarks and saved content

Some limited information may be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must separately manage or cancel your subscription through the applicable store.

9. Children’s Privacy

Read, Reflect, Grow is not directed to children under 13 without the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us at support@readreflect-grow.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may contain links to websites or use services operated by third parties.

Those third parties maintain their own terms and privacy policies, and their practices are not controlled by this Privacy Policy.

We encourage users to review the privacy policies of third-party services they use.

11. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your place of residence. Where required, we use appropriate measures to protect transferred information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

When changes are made, we will update the Effective Date. If changes are significant, we may also provide notice through the App, website, email, or another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to your future use of the App.
